8-year-old shooter is experiencing hype: EA even donates an upgrade

Battlefield 4, released in 2013, is currently experiencing a second spring. The rush for the now eight-year-old game is so great that EA even had to expand the server capacity.

The unveiling of Battlefield 2042 at E3 2021 creates a new hype about one of its predecessors. After the two World War I shooters Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, the next part of the series takes place again in a setting in the near future. With the scenario seems developer DICE to have hit a nerve with the fans, they’re playing Battlefield 4 again.

Battlefield 4 should shorten the waiting time

It seems that the fans are so excited about the scenario of Battlefield 2042 that they have started again to play the series part that comes closest to the new Battlefield. Battlefield 4 was released in 2013 and got off to a bumpy start in terms of performance. Over time and many DLCs, Battlefield 4 developed into an absolute fan favorite that is now being used to promote the Shorten the waiting time for Battlefield 2042 and immerse yourself in the setting.

Servers get an upgrade

Battlefield 2042 will be released in October

Until the release of Battlefield 2042, players have to register by October 22, 2021 be patient. The game is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC. In the coming months there will still be an open beta, but it is not yet known when this will take place.
