Selected testers were able to play Diablo Immortal back in December. Now it seems to be that time again soon. Blizzard threw some clues about it.
Apparently, Diablo Immortal can soon be tested again on the smartphone
Via Twitter, Diablo Community Development Manager Adam Fletcher called on content creators to contact him if they were interested in Diablo. A similar call was made in mid-December when the Diablo Immortal test took place. In addition, the mobile game client has changed. If you still have it on your smartphone, you will now see a different message as thanks for participating in the first test. Here is a welcome message to a closed alpha. In addition, the character list of the testers was deleted.
Additionally, Diablo Immortal’s Twitter account responded to a fan tweet that Diablo Immortal was their hottest-awaited game, that the call of darkness was about to come. All of this suggests that another mobile action RPG alpha could soon be launched. This should mean that Diablo Immortal is roughly at the same stage of development as Diablo 2 Resurrected, which recently ended its first Alpha and is preparing to start another. However, it is unlikely that both games will appear at the same time.
While Blizzard has already announced a release for Diablo 2 Resurrected this year, we still know when Diablo Immortal will be released. A release in 2022 would be conceivable, followed by a release of Diablo 4 in 2023 or 2024.
