According to current rumors, Sony is said to be talking about the price and release of the PlayStation 5 in a few days. The information comes from journalist Roberto Serrano, who had already correctly predicted the date for the PS5 event. Pre-orders should also start at the same time.
In the meantime, Sony and Microsoft have presented their next-gen console including the first games to the public. However, it is still unclear when the hardware will be released and, above all, how much fans will spend on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X towards the end of the year. At the moment, both companies are still holding back and want to let the competitor take the lead in order to make any short-term changes. According to an insider, Sony could now take the first step and talk about these topics in a few days.
Journalist Roberto Serrano was able to correctly predict the date of the PS5 event on June 11, 2020, a few weeks ago, and is now claiming that Sony will discuss the release and price of the next-gen console on July 13. Despite its correct leak some time ago, this information should of course still be enjoyed with caution. By the way, according to Roberto Serrano, pre-orders for the PS5 will also be launched on this day. We will of course keep you up to date in this regard.
Recently, new rumors have surfaced about the next Xbox event. According to journalist Jeff Grubb, Microsoft will be launching several first-party titles for Xbox Series X on July 23, 2020. Should Sony actually announce the price and release in July, Microsoft could also join in the Xbox event. Incidentally, Jeff Grubb himself has so far not mentioned any new PS5 information in July. The next issue of State of Play is scheduled for August in his calendar.
