Before we start with the actual report, we would like to issue a small spoiler warning at this point. If you haven't seen the second season of the Star Wars: The Mandalorian series and don't want to let the tension go, you should stop reading.
In Season 2 of the Mandalorian adventures, Ahsoka Tano (played by Rosario Dawson) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) appeared two characters who had previously only been seen in animation series from the Star Wars universe. If actor Jason Isaacs had his way, another character would soon be making the leap from animation to live-action series – the Grand Inquisitor. This dark character made a big appearance on the Star Wars Rebels series – with the voice of Jason Isaacs. In an interview with the Collider, he replied to the question of whether he would like to be part of one of the upcoming Star Wars series:
"It depends on the script. I don't want to just show up so I can take pictures and go to conventions. I want to play a role. The insquisitor was a great role when I played her and a great one when he did it again Would be, I'd be there. Yeah, Katee Sackhoff had a lot of fun. I know Katee and I would say it was great to be part of the Star Wars world. "
Accordingly, Isaacs would be quite ready to play the role of the Grand Inquisitor in one of the next Star Wars live-action series. There will be many opportunities for this in the next few years. After all, Disney is not only planning more seasons of The Mandalorian, but also the Star Wars series. Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi – to name just a few examples.
