The PlayStation 5 has a unique design, but that doesn't mean everyone will like it. One company has set itself the task of allowing gamers to customize their console according to their needs. After a lawsuit from Sony that came to an end, but now Custom My Plates is back and has promised to stay this time too.
Custom My Plates is back and wants to stay
After Custom My Plates (CMP) had to cancel all pre-orders following a lawsuit by Sony and stop manufacturing the faceplates, the company opened a crowdfunding site in November. Additionally, CMP suggested starting a petition to get Sony to approve the production of the plates. In the last few weeks the company has been quiet, but now it is back.
On the official website currently has CMP three models for the popular PlayStation 5 to choose from: black faceplates, a black bundle for the console and the controller and a Kratos bundle based on God of War: Ragnarök.
At Amazon you can easily buy a second controller.
Found a loophole?
The company assures customers who place an order that this time they will not have to worry about it being canceled. Under each product description, CMP states: "The patent is pending and any sales made prior to its approval are inviolable". Seems like the company found a loophole to really piss Sony off. How far they will get with it remains to be seen.
This design is something very special.
The PlayStation 5 is still in high demand, but Sony cannot keep up with deliveries. Bots make it difficult for potential buyers.
