In the video, Aldi shows the highlights of the new Medion Erazer Beast X25:

The hardware equipment of the Medion Erazer Beast X25 leaves little to be desired at first glance. Processor and graphics card offer enough power to even Show the latest games with ray tracing in native resolution without any problems to be able to. The 64 GB of working memory of the laptop, on the other hand, seem downright oversized. Even absolute power users will rarely need that much RAM in a notebook.

The 2 TB PCIe SSD comes in very handy for storing all kinds of games, photos, videos and the like. The 17-inch IPS display “only” offers full HD resolution, but relies on one particularly high refresh rate of 240 Hz, which should especially please passionate shooter players.

Also astonishing: Despite the generous 91.2 Wh batteries and the potent hardware weighs the 17-inch gaming laptop just 2.3 kilograms and is therefore almost a lightweight if you consider that the products of the competition like to weigh around 3 kilograms.

Gaming laptop for 2,700 euros: is it worth buying the Aldi notebook?

There is nothing to complain about in terms of hardware and equipment of the Medion Eazer Beast X25. Only a higher resolution display would have been desirable with a size of 17.3 inches. The price of 2,699 euros is also more than appropriateif you take a look at the alternatives of the competition.

For example, with the Acer Nitro 5, Computeruniverse offers a similar high-performance notebook with a sharper display for only at first glance 2.399 Euro on – however, with this model, a lot of performance falls by the wayside, since the graphics card can accept a maximum of 85 watts, while it is a full 165 watts with the Medion laptop. Models that offer the same performance as the Aldi notebook cost well over 3,000 euros and usually weigh at least 2.7 kilograms.

In addition, Aldi is proud 3 year guarantee on his gaming laptop. So if you are looking for a new high-end laptop – and are also prepared to dig a little deeper into your pocket – you should definitely keep an eye on the Medion Eazer Beast X25. Sales will start on July 29, 2021 in the Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd online shop.
