Also no clear statement about Bethesda games on Playstation – Gamesaktuell

from Andreas Bertits
Microsoft's Phil Spencer was asked whether the investment in Bethesda is worthwhile even if The Elder Scrolls 6 does not appear on the Playstation. He is convinced of this, but did not want to comment on a possible Xbox and PC exclusivity.

Since Microsoft bought Zenimax and thus Bethesda, players have been wondering whether the future titles of the development studio will continue to appear for the Playstation. Microsoft's Phil Spencer has commented on this, but remains very vague.

Playstation fans remain in the dark

"Is it possible to recoup a $ 7.5 billion investment if you don't sell The Elder Scrolls 6 on the PlayStation?" Phil Spencer was asked in an interview. He then answered yes, but went on to say it.

"I don't want to be snappy about it," he added. "This deal was not made to take games away from another player base that way. Nowhere in the documentation we put together did it say, 'How do we stop other players from playing these games?" We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to play. But I will also say in the model – I'm just answering the question you had directly – when I think about where people will play and how many devices we will operate. We have xCloud and PC and Game Pass and our console base. We don't have to ship these games on any platform other than the platforms we support for the deal to work for us. Whatever that means ".

So it remains unclear whether Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 and other upcoming Bethesda games will be released for the Playstation.
