"Among Us" developer cancels successor and announces new content

After more than two years, the indie game Among Us has surprisingly become a hit. The developers have now commented on upcoming plans.

Among Us: Server problems are inevitable

Among Us was first released for Android and iOS in June 2018, so it was designed exclusively for mobile devices. Nonetheless, InnerSloth complied with the request of its community and released the game on Steam. Since then, Among Us has been on the rise and is struggling with some server problems due to the onslaught. In one official statement the developer promises improvement and also commented on upcoming plans.

Among Us: No successor, but new content

Instead of expanding the original game, the developers thought about a sequel. After a lot of thought, InnerSloth decided against Among 2. The team would rather focus on improving Among Us. That will bring about some fundamental changes.

In addition to the server problem, the team would like to focus on a new friends and account system. A new map should of course not be missing.
