CS: CO – Alter Ego-Shooter swings back into the Steam charts
Cyberpunk 2077 has been stubbornly on Steam's bestseller list for months. At regular intervals, however, other games challenge the role-playing game for its throne. Now there is a "new" opponent who is talking about himself – and he is now more than 8 years old. We're talking about the team shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which was launched in the summer of 2012. Since then, Valve has provided the game with updates at regular intervals and can now even be played for free.
But how did the shooter manage to secure second place in Steam's sales-based bestseller list? A few days ago a new operation called "Broken Fang" started in Counter-Strike. The update brought numerous changes with it, including new game modes, new maps and various improvements. Also included is the new Premium Pass for the equivalent of 12.75 euros, which gives buyers access to additional challenges and rewards.
With such a large player base, it is not surprising that a corresponding number of users choose the Premium Pass and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is just behind Cyberpunk 2077 in Steam's bestseller list.
