Nintendo is preparing a new update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons: The patch will be available for download from January 28th. There is currently no specific time for activation. However, it can be assumed that the update will be available on Nintendo Switch in the early hours of the morning. The publisher had already published a preview of the patch notes with the changes and innovations. The main focus of the update is the carnival event, which starts on February 15 in the life simulation. If you have already expanded your service center, you can take part in the colorful festival on the date mentioned. For the event, dancer Pavo welcomes you to the fairground.
For Carnival Day on February 15, you can use your net in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to capture the colorful feathers that float over the island. Whoever exchanges them at Pavo gets to see a dance performance. The colorful rainbow feathers are a particularly rare sight: if you spot one, you should catch it and bring it to Pavo. You will of course receive special clothes and items to match the carnival theme. For a limited time there is also the possibility to purchase Viva Carnival emotions in Nook's shop. From February 1st, the tailoring shop run by Sina and Tina will also be offering carnival costumes for a limited time. Also stop by Nook Shopping, where chocolate hearts and heart bouquets will be available from February 1st to 14th – Valentine's Day. There will be other new items in January and February for the Lunar New Year and the Superbowl. (buy now € 48.99 )

In the trailer for the Carnival update, Nintendo also refers to the next update, which will be available for download in March for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is likely that the patch will bring items from the Super Mario universe: the publisher points this out at the end of the trailer with the distinctive mushrooms and stars.
