The big summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming. Nintendo has announced the patch for July 3rd. So far there is no time for the activation, but it can be assumed that the update will be available for download in the early morning hours on Friday morning. To get access to the new content, a separate download is required – the installation starts at the next game start. Nintendo had already introduced the new features from the summer update.
The focus of the patch is the new swimming and diving function in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In keeping with the warm summer days, you can dive into the cool water in the life simulation and, with a little luck, find new items and creatures. You can hand the latter over to Eugene in the museum, after which you can expand the exhibition with additional copies. If you go swimming in the sea, you will also meet sea otter Johannes, who is looking for special shells. As a reward, he gives you crafting instructions around the topic of mermaid.

After downloading the summer update, Gulliver will of course reappear. This time the seagull is washing it up in a pirate costume – she is probably looking for the parts of her telephone set again. If you find the parts, you will receive a reward. It is likely that the summer update will have new Gulliver rewards. Further changes are likely to follow with the patch notes for the update release on Friday. Incidentally, Nintendo has announced part 2 of the summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons for early August. What content you can expect is not yet known.
