After working on Dishonored 2, Harvey Smith moved back from Lyon to Austin and is therefore not involved in the development of Deathloop. He is currently working with the team behind Dishonored and Prey on an unannounced project. The developer gave this all in one Interview with Vandal known. Smith gave no information on the new project, but another offshoot of the Dishonored series cannot be ruled out. Arkane Studios announced this year that the series has not been put on hold. But if a new Dishonored comes, we won't see any familiar faces. The story of the Kaldwins and the Outsider ended with Death of the Outsider and the team doesn't want to go back to these characters.
Smith had a few words of praise for Deathloop. The developers show clear devotion to both the gameplay and the scenery, which makes the title fascinating to look at. He also talked about restricting certain aspects of a game if you want to have a good AI: "If you want a great AI, you have to make it the basis of your game. Then you have to set the bar for the other aspects of the game Lower the game. " When asked how many characters we will see on one screen, he replied, amused, with "five".
Smith also comments on Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda. The developer has not noticed any changes at Arkane and cannot think of a better partner than Microsoft for Bethesda.
