Hack'n'Slay is in, there is no other way to evaluate it when so many new action role-playing games are announced at the 2019 Game Awards. The path of Exile 2 and Diablo 4 will probably also feature the new game in the Dungeons & Dragons universe: Dark Alliance.

Action role-playing fans are sure to experience festive times. Not only that Blizzard is officially working on Diablo 4 and that the people of Grinding Gear Games are working on version 2 of Path of Exile. No, all kinds of new projects were announced as part of the Game Awards 2019. Take the action role-playing game Magic: Legends, which – unsurprisingly – takes place in the Magic universe. And then there's the new game in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons from Wizards of the Coast. The developers of Tuque Games are working on the cooperative action role-playing game Dark Alliance, which is scheduled to be released for PC and consoles in autumn 2020.

A lot is not yet known on the official Dark Alliance website the information is sown relatively sparsely. However, the press release on the game already reveals a few more details. You can expect all kinds of well-known monsters from the D&D universe, legendary characters around Drizzt Do'Urden and lots of cool loot in the game, which you can play solo or with up to three friends. You explore the cruel world of Icewind Dale with Drizzt and the warriors around the scimitar-wielding hero – you get to see familiar faces like Catti-Brie, Bruenor and Wulfgar in action. The makers of Dark Alliance describe the action role-playing game as the spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance series and if you want, you can check out the trailer below.
