A new patch is currently causing the dreaded Black Screen of Death for some Xbox insiders and paralyzing their consoles. We tell you who the problem is and how you can solve it.

Xbox Insider Program members will have earlier access to certain updates and new features for their Xbox console. Have currently however, some Xbox insiders are in big trouble with their Xbox One – apparently because of a patch that went online a few days ago. Gamers complain about the Black Screen of Death online, in which the console simply no longer shows an image and the screen accordingly remains black.

The Black Screen of Death is unfortunately already known to some Xbox One users from earlier times. The problem has actually been largely resolved in recent years, but it is currently appearing again increasingly among beta users of the Insider programwho installed a patch dated August 13th.

Hopefully, Microsoft will release a new patch in the next few days that will fix the problem for all users of the Xbox Insider Program. Until then, Xbox One owners should be careful which patch they install.
