In an interview, Andrzej Sapkowski made a funny comparison between the current Netflix series and the video game series from The Witcher. The author of the book template claims that to this day he has never played a video game and therefore finds it difficult to compare anything with it.
The launch of The Witcher's Netflix series has sparked renewed euphoria around the series. Not only the game recently celebrated new player records on Steam, the production of Andrzej Sapkowski's book template also had to be increased due to the high demand. No other series has got off to a better start on Netflix than the first season of The Witcher. In an interview with i09 Andrzej Sapkowski has now spoken a little about the show and also made a quite creative comparison with the video game series from CD Projekt Red.
"I can't compare anything to video games because I've never played one. I haven't played a game since I was a child – with the possible exception of bridge and poker. Video games are just not for me. I prefer books to entertainment. Anyway I don't think TV series and video games can be compared. They take a completely different approach and are different in style. You can't compare spaghetti carbonara to a bike. Even though they both have their advantages and disadvantages. "
Andrzej Sapkowski also said that he didn't have much to do with the production of the Netflix series. And also in the second season, the author of the book template will hold back. The new episodes are scheduled to start in 2021. An animated film was also announced last week with The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
