Baldur's Gate 3: Early Access starts today

Today, October 6th, the early access phase of Baldur's Gate 3 starts. We'll tell you when people who pre-order can start their adventure and why you should free up a lot of space on your hard drive. Spoiler: Baldur's Gate 3 is as big as 75 installations of Baldur's Gate 2.

There will be no further postponement! Today, October 6th, the Stadia will finally start on PC and Google Baldur's Gate 3 early access. All pre-orderers of the game can jump into the new role-playing game from Larian Studios from 7:00 p.m. You have to shell out almost 60 euros for access, but the early access version of BG3 also has a lot more to offer than the early access version of, for example Divinity: Original Sin 2:

  • 80 fights in BG3 Early Access versus 22 fights in DOS2 Early Access
  • 45,980 dialog lines in BG3 Early Access versus 17,600 dialog lines in DOS2 Early Access
  • 596 characters in BG3 Early Access versus 142 in DOS2 Early Access
  • 146 spells / actions in BG3 Early Access versus 69 spells / actions in DOS2 Early Access
  • Eight playable races, five classes, around 25 hours of campaign playtime

The large size of Baldur's Gate 3 is also noticeable in terms of storage requirements. At first it was said that the third part of the iconic RPG series will take up about 70 gigabytes on your hard drive. In the meantime, however, the requirement has doubled and 150 GB are due. BG3 is as big as 75 installations (!) Of Baldur's Gate 2.
