In the multiplayer mode of the upcoming role-playing game Baldur's Gate 3, you have to make decisions together with friends. There are votes that Twitch streamers are allowed to leave to their viewers.
Larian's role play Baldur's Gate 3 keep facing difficult decisions about the consequences that can affect the course of the plot and the game world. A voting system is used in the multiplayer part.
Special multiplayer functions in BG 3
If you play Baldur's Gate 3 in single-player mode, you can easily and conveniently make decisions for yourself. For example during the dialogues. But it's a little more difficult in multiplayer mode. So that there are no long discussions among the players, the developers are introducing a voting system.
Each player chooses one of the options offered. The option with the most votes is then selected. So the group decides democratically how to proceed. This voting also plays an important role on Twitch. If a streamer plays BG3 live, he can pass the vote to the audience during decisions. They select the option that will ultimately be followed up. In this way, the fans of the streamer are actively involved in the game.
The multiplayer part of the RPG offers other special features. If a player plays a vampire, he has to feed on blood. In order to get to his food, it is possible to suck out the other party members. But they notice this and can then vote together who will be the victim of the vampire.
In addition, it is possible to secretly rob other players while they are in dialogues or cutscenes and are thereby distracted.
You will find out exactly how it all works – if everything works out – on September 30th. Because on this day Baldur's Gate 3 is to start in the early access phase.
