Battlefield 2042 should be released on October 22, 2021, but DICE is probably not ready to show a little more gameplay for the title. We received the right announcement for the new Battlefield in June of this year and the first real gameplay followed directly a week later. Since then, however, DICE has only shown Battlefield Portal, the second major expansion of the title.

Of course, gamers are excited to see more gameplay for the shooter and have been eagerly awaiting a new announcement. We’ll get a new announcement soon, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for new gameplay scenes.

Instead, we will see a short film about the world of the title on August 12th at 5pm. The film is called Exodus and focuses primarily on the no-pats, who are the soldiers of the world of Battlefield 2042 (buy now € 59.99) represent. They temporarily join either the USA or Russia in order to end the battle with the victorious power.

Until the short film is released, DICE would like a little glimpse into the locations of Battlefield 2042 “through the eyes of the journalist Kayvan Bechir” give. The first History about this has already been published and more will follow in the next few days. However, these are also supposed to expand the world of Battlefield 2042, so there is no form of gameplay to be seen here either.

Fans still have to be patient to see more gameplay for the title, but Gamescom is not too far away. Maybe the developers will reveal a little more about the title here.

Battlefield 2042 will be released on October 22, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
