Battlefield 5: update to the future of the first person shooter – last content patch in June – game update
DICE releases an "Update on the future of Battlefield 5". In a recent blog entry, the developers deal with the content that is still pending for the current first-person shooter. However, not much is to be expected. The developers end the current chapter 6 "In the jungle" on April 29th. It was the last Tides of War chapter: There will be no Chapter 7. After all: For June there is still a major Battlefield 5 update that brings new content to the first person shooter. A new map and new weapons are confirmed.
DICE is dedicated to one current blog entry to the fans – and announces the end of the content patches for Battlefield 5. In an "update to the future" of the first person shooter, the developers announce that the current chapter 6 "In the jungle" will end on April 29th. No other chapters are planned. There will be no Tides of War Chapter 7 for the current first person shooter. The is completely discontinued Battlefield 5 update support but not. Among other things, the developers are announcing a larger "standalone" update with new content for summer.
For the upcoming Battlefield 5 patch, DICE promises new content, weapons and game tweaks. The release of the update is scheduled for June – there is no specific date yet. A new map is also planned: Libya. The developers have already published a first screenshot of the map in the blog entry mentioned. There are also changes to weekly rewards. (buy now for € 30.67)
After the summer update, the Battlefield currency or company coins are to be distributed as weekly rewards. This should give players the opportunity to unlock missing equipment. Weekly activities are also planned. For example, the # FridayNightBattlefield servers are returning. DICE wants to continue to work on community game updates. The same applies to anti-cheat measures. Battlefield 5 came out in November 2018 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The next part of the first person shooter series is planned for 2021.
