Battlefield 6 is not only available for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC. In a current annual report, EA boss Andrew Wilson announced that the new first-person shooter will also appear on PS4 and Xbox One. “Battlefield will appear on both the current-gen and next-gen consoles,” says the manager. The same applies to the upcoming sports games such as FIFA 22, Madden NFL 22 and NHL 22.Fans had previously asked themselves whether that new battlefield also appears for the older console models. In a blog post, the developers explicitly spoke of a first-person shooter aimed at the next-gen.

Wilson’s statements suggest that this primarily affects gameplay – and what can be done, for example, with physics, artificial intelligence and the already massive properties of the first-person shooter. The focus is also on the destruction feature, which you want to bring to a new level in the new Battlefield. According to Wilson, the additional hardware power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X help with this endeavor. EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen added that the new Battlefield was “great” on both console generations, but “even more spectacular” on the new systems.

“The game has everything that fans love about Battlefield,” said Wilson, adding that they are already looking forward to it Announcement in June. In the course of the summer there will be more details about the new first person shooter. As soon as we have additional information, you will find out as usual on our website. The new Battlefield is slated to hit the market in the fall.
