The corona virus affects not only physical, but also mental health. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized this and recommends those affected: "Listen to music, read a book, play a game."
Because of the corona pandemic, many people around the world have to spend their time at home with minimal direct social contact. In the long run, this can have a negative impact on mental health, as the World Health Organization (WHO) warns.
"During these difficult times, it is important to take care of your own physical and mental health. This not only helps in the long term, but also helps combat COVID-19 even in the event of an illness. (…) It is normal to feel stressed, confused and scared during a crisis. Talking to people you know and trust you can help. (…) Listen to music, read a book or play a game."
Current figures have long suggested that at least gaming fans of the last recommendation of the WHO fully comply: Steam and Xbox Live record user records, in Italy children and adolescents play so much Fortnite that internet traffic increases massively and game developers react to the pandemic by sharing their fans with free bonuses, events and gifts supply. Other games are restricted, for example, Pokémon GO has canceled EX raids until further notice.
Otherwise the following applies now and continues: Take care of yourself, stay calm and distract yourself as best as possible. Visit the Robert Koch Institute website (rki.de) or that of the WHO (who.com) for further information about Corona and the current development of the pandemic. Stay healthy!
