If you are a big fan of the RPG series Baldur’s Gate and Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 is perhaps not going in the direction you wanted a sequel to be, then the RPG Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness might be interesting for you . The team has now even found a publisher.
BG-like RPG has a publisher
At first glance, Black Geyser looks like a game from the BG series. You control a group of heroes from the isometric view through drawn 2D backgrounds and fight monsters in real-time battles that can be paused. Black Geyser was successfully financed through a Kickstarter campaign in 2018 and should actually appear in summer 2019. Nothing came of that, but the team is now on the home stretch. Backers of the Kickstarter campaign can even play a beta.
Now a publisher has been found in V Publishing, about whom the team behind the RPG say: “The team at V will help us improve many aspects of the final game, and they have already begun to put several plans into action. including regular development updates, more community involvement and activities and of course the announcement of plans for the game’s release. “
Michael Brown, CEO of V Publishing, wrote: “As huge fans of games like Icewind Dale and Baldur’s Gate, the entire team at V looks forward to helping make a great indie CRPG with depth and narrative experience that is unforgettable We hope that we are doing the team at Grape Ocean a great service and that we can put the game into the hands of all of you later this year. We look forward to being part of it in the months ahead as well to become part of the community and have fun with all of you. “
If everything goes well, the role-playing game Black Geyser will be released in 2021.
