With an update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Treyarch takes care of a problem that bothered many players. Now even casual gamers can move forward a little faster.
In a shooter, of course, a lot revolves around the weapons. In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War these can be leveled up as always in order to earn new essays and unlock the camos, i.e. skins for the weapons. But that took too long for many players and the experience progression was too slow for them, a point that we also addressed in our test.
The rates at which you gain experience for the weapons have been increased on all platforms. This applies to both multiplayer and zombie mode. Exact values or a percentage increase are shown in the Patch notes not mentioned, just the general information that weapons can now be leveled faster.
This helps casual and heavy gamers alike. If you only have a few hours a week to play, you can now unlock essays more quickly and no longer feel so left behind when you meet players with more playing time. Since the camos can only be unlocked from a certain weapon level, players who would like to receive Dark Matter Ultra have.
Map exploit has been removed
The patch also fixes a problem on the map Nuketown. There players succeeded to leave the mapwithout being killed by the game. From outside the map she could easily sneak kills until they were discovered there.
Another one Gun experience issue was fixed in zombie mode Fixed. Players who wanted to assert themselves against the zombies or groups in later rounds received less experience than intended. A similar one XP bug there was when using the "Napalm Burst Ammo-Mod", which also gave too little experience through kills.
The community addressed the problem with slow progress since the release and has now been heard by Treyarch.
