Black Widow: Scarlett Johansson speaks in an interview about the Marvel film – Gamesaktuell
Actress Scarlett Johansson spoke in an interview about the upcoming solo film of the MCU "Black Widow". The actress of the main character giving the title speaks, among other things, about the topics of the film. Family, in particular, seems to be an important part of the story with Natasha Romanoff.
The next phase of the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was supposed to be launched in a month with Black Widow. However, those responsible at Marvel Studios decided a few days ago that the film will not start as planned due to the coronavirus pandemic. So far, there is no new appointment. However, the makers have already ruled out an early release on Disney +. In an interview with the magazine "Total Film" actress Scarlett Johansson has now commented on the new MCU film.
For more than a decade, the actress has embodied the main character Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff. In an interview with the magazine, she says:
"One theme of the film is family. What is family? How does it define us? How does our past define us? How does family – however you define it – affect us as a person, does it make us better or worse? (…) I think part of Kevin Feige's ingenuity is that he always thinks about what fans could expect from this film and give them something they couldn't even dream of. The idea of Natasha Romanoff in a family drama is so unexpected and so is I. I had to find my way around what was going on here because it was such a dramatic change. "
The Black Widow story will take place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. As soon as we know something new about the theatrical release, you will find it here with us. In addition to Black Widow, The Eternals, a second MCU film, is planned for the start of phase 4 in November this year.
