In the past few days, Treyarch played various updates for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta. The current patch followed yesterday, Sunday: With the Update switched Treyarch all attachments for the weapons free to allow further experiments with the loadouts. In the patch notes, the developers also state that the 2XP event is still active: Until the end of the beta, you will receive double experience points and weapon XP. This will allow you to advance in rank faster and unlock new weapons accordingly faster. Those who reach rank 10 can also look forward to the first weapon blueprint for the full version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The patch notes for the current beta update show that the developers were able to fix a rare game crash that was related to score tracking. The same applies to crashes in situations with players who were awarded a kill after being disconnected. The developers fix a problem with the friends list, especially on the PC: Activision friends were shown as offline even though they were online.

In a previously published update the level limit has already been raised. If you reach level 40 in the beta, you can unlock the Magnum pistol and the RPG-7 launcher. There is also Air Patrol and Chopper Gunner as Scorestreaks and Ninja and Quartermaster as Perks. With Control, a new mode came into play. Meanwhile, Treyarch announced that the beta has been extended by one day: The test phase for CoD: Black Ops Cold War ends on October 20th at 7 p.m. The beta is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
