The activation of Season 1 in Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone is imminent: The new season begins on December 8th, 6 p.m. Then Vanguard players get started on the new caldera map at Warzone. All other Warzone players join the battle 24 hours later. Before the start of the new season, new updates will go live for both first-person shooters: While the patch for Vanguard is already available, the Warzone update will be released this evening at around 6 p.m.
Call of Duty Vanguard player (buy now € 64.00) can look forward to a lot of new content for Season 1, including a new Battle Pass with 100 new levels, two new multiplayer maps, three new weapons and new zombies content. The new maps include Paradise and Radar, which are available just in time for the unlocking of the season. Radar represents a new version of Dome from Modern Warfare 3. At Paradise, on the other hand, a medium-sized map awaits you, in which you are among other things in a subway tunnel. With serpentine (among other things, reduces explosion damage during sprinting) and intuition (indicates nearby opponents, also behind walls), new perks are added to the first-person shooter.
Patch notes with a number of optimizations
In week 1 of the first Vanguard season you prove yourself in the new game mode Control. Here you defend and conquer two control points, but have only limited respawns. If your team runs out of respawns, the round is lost. Zombies players can also look forward to new content. New weapons, challenges, features and rewards await you. Further content replenishment has been announced for the middle of the season. At the start, the new purge objective, covenants and weapons are available, among other things. Within Season 1, the Katana, the Cooper Carbine, the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle and the Sawtooth melee weapon will appear.
In addition to the new content, the Season 1 update brings a number of bug fixes and optimizations. From now on it is more obvious whether a Goliath belongs to your team – or is controlled by the opponent. The developers also fix a bug that prevented some players from activating additional crosshairs. You can find the full patch notes on the Sledgehammer Games website. The makers have announced another patch for December 9th. Then, for example, balancing changes are planned for individual weapons, including for the Type 99, Kar98 and M1 Garand.
Warzone: That brings Season 1
Extensive changes are pending for Warzone in order to unlock Season 1. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the new caldera map, which replaces the previous Verdansk map. On Caldera you are on a Pacific island and make out numerous areas and over 100 sights – you can read details about the map under this link.
In addition to the new ricochet anti-cheat system, a new gulag will also go live, in which you will return to the game with the equipment you ended up with in the gulag – provided you win the duel. In addition, there are new contracts and the two modes Vanguard Royale and Vanguard Resurgence. The “Festive Fervor” event should also run right on time for Christmas, which could bring along other XMAS content in addition to Christmas map decorations. More information should follow soon. The same applies to the specific patch notes for the Season 1 update in Warzone.
