Cyberpunk 2077 will not receive a demo before or after the release. According to CD Projekt Red, a project of this kind requires too many resources and test phases. That is why they decided against a public demo. Instead, the team will provide all fans with more gameplay videos. Further editions of Night City Wire are already planned.
Cyberpunk 2077 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be released on November 19, 2020. However, there will not be a demo in advance or suitable for the release. The CD Projekt Red team announced this at the weekend via Twitter. The makers were asked by a fan whether there would be a test version of any kind – whether a short extract from the story or an insight into the character editor of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red, however, had to give up this request. You can find the tweet from the studio below.
Accordingly, the development of a demo requires too many resources and test phases before it can be made available to the public. For this reason CD Projekt Red decided against it. However, in the weeks leading up to the Cyberpunk 2077 release, the team will continue to provide you with new gameplay material. Recently, Night City Wire talked extensively about new features of the title. We also had the opportunity to play Cyberpunk 2077 ourselves. In our preview we shared all of the impressions with you.
CD Projekt is also already prepared for the release of the next-gen consoles. From day 1, Cyberpunk will be 2077 (buy now for 58.48 €) be compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Buyers of the versions for PS4 and Xbox One will be given a free upgrade here. In the distant future, the developer studio would like to publish yet another next-gen version of the title, which should fully utilize the performance of the new hardware.
