CD Projekt Red comments on the microtransactions in the multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077. In a conversation, CDPR President Adam Kiciński says that the microtransactions should not exploit the players. "We are never aggressive towards our fans. We treat them fairly and are friendly," explains Kiciński. The team is researching monetization options to help players feel satisfied when they are spending money. Means: You should get a certain added value through your purchase. The multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077 appears after the release of the role-playing game on November 19th.
Cyberpunk 2077 will get a multiplayer mode sometime after the release. In a recent conversation, CDPR President Adam Kiciński spoke on the subject of microtransactions. Unlike in the single player mode, there should be a form of in-game purchases in the multiplayer branch. According to the information, the developers are investigating ways to make a purchase attractive to players, but at the same time to satisfy them. "We are never aggressive towards our fans. Who treat them fairly and we are friendly," says Kiciński. "So we're not going to be aggressive at all, but you can expect great things to be bought," added the president of CD Projekt Red.
"The goal is to monetize in such a way that players like to spend money. I'm not trying to be cynical or to hide anything: it's about creating a sense of worth," continues Kiciński. Means: Who money in the multiplayer mode of Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now € 58.19 ) spend should receive a certain added value. It is not yet known which in-game purchases are offered. Additional weapons, character skins and much more would be conceivable.
The same applies to the single-player games from the Polish studio: "We want the players to be happy when they spend money on our products," adds Kiciński. Cyberpunk 2077 is a great place to sell things. However, the microtransactions should not be aggressive. "They will not annoy players, they will make them happy – at least that is our goal," he concluded. Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for November 19th. At what point in time the multiplayer mode will be submitted is not yet known.
