In December 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone received an update that added helicopters to the game. However, these were removed very quickly because they were connected to an invisibility glitch. Players who took advantage of this glitch could move, see, and shoot normally, but were completely invisible to their counterparts. Obviously falling victim to this glitch wasn’t fun and Raven Software removed the helicopters until they found a solution to the problem.
It took more than three months for the helicopters to find their way back into the game. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that Raven Software was excited too soon, and that the invisibility glitch has not yet disappeared from the game.
It’s not clear if this is the same glitch that terrorized players back in December or if it’s a whole new problem. What is certain is that the minigun variants of the helicopters were removed from the game after less than 24 hours. A time window when these will be available again is not yet known. So we can only hope that it won’t be another three months before we can take the helicopters into the air.
