CoD: Warzone players love the Halloween event

Infinity Ward seems to have hit the black hearts of the players with the Halloween event in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty: Warzone

They crawl as zombies, follow the tracer ammunition through Verdansk at night and sometimes piss themselves in shit – the Halloween event in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare is very popular with players.

We have already summarized for you what it has to offer in terms of content. The heart of the game is the new Warzone mode Zombie Royale. On the night variant of the normal map you fight for survival as always. Death doesn't send you to the gulag, but you return to the map as a zombie.

The main tenor in Reddit: "Zombie Royale has really succeeded." The lighting mood on the map fits. It's dark enough for a horror atmosphere, but not so dark that you can't see any players. In the buildings the light is wisely on and outside the full moon donates its pale shimmer.

Especially the lots of little details delight the players. In some supply boxes there are nice little jumpscares that will probably still work the 10th time.

The map is full of small Easter eggs, such as a ghost train or Blood dripping up. Being a zombie is also fun for many players, sometimes they just sweep the map with the super jump.

In the farmland players found Leatherface's house, the killer from the movie "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". There are plenty of severed limbs there and his mind is said to roam there too.

There are also rewards

In Verdansk are 16 supply boxes distributed in which special Halloween cosmetics are. If you find all 16, you get a special GRAY blueprint. Actively doing something on the map to get the rewards also pleases many players.

You can check the locations of the boxes in our guide.

Modern Warfare is rather empty

For normal multiplayer, there is not that much. In the game mode Onslaughter you have to conquer a Juggernaut equipment with a burning pumpkin head. There is also a Halloween mosh pit, otherwise the event takes place in Warzone.

“The Haunting of Verdansk” runs until November 3, 2020.
