Code name of the new remedy game popped up in the Epic Store

from Dominik Zwingmann
The code name for a new project by the control makers at Remedy Entertainment has appeared in the database of the Epic Games Store this week. This is the term "BigFish". However, no further details can be found in the entry. A few months ago, the studio joined an Epic Games publisher initiative, which will create two new games in the future.

Remedy Entertainment fans may be able to look forward to announcing a new project soon. The code name for the next game of the Finnish developer studio has appeared in the database of the Epic Games Store with "BigFish". The entry was added on May 11, 2020 – but an update for the store made BigFish visible on Tuesday. The discovery made the website "Epicdata.info" – the equivalent of SteamDB for the Epic Games Store.

However, no further details are available from the database. We've known for two months that Remedy Entertainment is working on at least two new games. These are being developed in cooperation with the new publisher initiative from Epic Games, which was first introduced in March 2020. The projects will soon be available for PC and next-gen consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X) and will also play in the same universe. This is an AAA game on the one hand and a somewhat smaller project on the other.

Most recently, the developer studio was responsible for the release of Control. We also took a detailed look at the game in our test. Before that, Remedy Entertainment had already made a name for itself with projects such as Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break. The team also works on the single player campaign for the popular MMO shooter CrossfireX.

Also popular with PC game readers Alan Wake is now part of the Xbox Game Pass.
