South American football fans will soon be able to look forward to a new update for FIFA 20, with which the Copa Libertadores, including all licenses, will land in the simulation. A total of 32 teams with official jerseys, player names and logos of the CONMEBOL region will then be found in the game. FIFA Ultimate Team will soon be expanded with 500 new players.
EA Sports has announced a new update for FIFA 20 that will bring the Copa Libertadores from South America to soccer simulation. As of March 3, 2020, the patch will be available free of charge for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Again, switch owners have to do without new content for the game. Depending on the platform, the update will have a download size between 4.8 and 5.5 GB.
At the beginning, the already qualified 28 teams of the Copa Libertadores will be playable in FIFA 20 tournament mode. The remaining four participants are first drawn from the other South American simulation teams. As soon as the stragglers in real life are determined, these clubs will also be selectable for all players. The three competitions Libertadores, Sudamericana and Recopa are also added for a more authentic career mode experience.
All teams, including the River Plate and Boca Juniors teams, which can currently be found in the simulation under the names "Nunez and Buenos Aires", will in future wear official jerseys, player names and logos. The detailed faces of the players were not taken over – here fans have to be satisfied with generic models. According to EA, FIFA Ultimate Team will also be expanded with 500 new players from CONMEBOL. Below the message we have included the trailer for the Libertadores update.
