There may be news about the shooter series Crysis very soon. This is indicated by at least a short message on the official Twitter channel. Not much can be found there, but the account has shown its first activity in more than four years.

Since Crysis 3 released in 2013 it had become very quiet around the shooter series. But we may have a new announcement. Recently, the official Crysis Twitter channel has come back to life, where the last time you read something was about four years ago.

There you can read the short and mysterious message "Receiving Data" – which translates as "Receive Data". However, no further information or tweets have been available on the Twitter channel since April 13th. Logically, this leaves a lot of scope for speculation. The responsible developer studio Crytek may be preparing to announce a new episode of Crysis. It would also be conceivable that this is not a full successor, but the remaster version of an already existing part. Crytek has not yet commented on this topic. We will of course keep you up to date in this regard.

The shooter series Crysis made its debut in 2007 and comes from developer studios Crytek, which is now based in Frankfurt am Main. The game was designed as a trilogy, so that further parts followed. Crysis 2 was launched in 2011 and ended with Crysis 3 (buy now) in 2013. In the meantime, Crysis Warhead, another spin-off, appeared in 2008, which follows similar events as in the first game – but from a different perspective. Since 2013 there has been no concrete news or development related to the Crysis series.
