from Matthias Brückle
The Event Horizon film is now a cult film, although critics and box office audiences were not gracious when it was released in 1998. An upcoming Collector's Edition is now hoping that for the first time we could see scenes that have been removed.

A flop at the box office and rather outlawed by critics at the time: Under these conditions, the sci-fi horror film Event Horizon could simply have been forgotten in the whirlpool of time. But over the years, the brutal space adventure in home cinema has secured more and more fans – today, Event Horizon is a real cult film. We could never see the director's own vision – maybe that will change?

Scenes were allegedly removed because viewers fainted

The now legendary missing scenes from Event Horizon are said to be some extremely brutal moments in the film that were removed at Studio Paramount's insistence on the producers. However, some of the scenes are said to have better illuminated the backgrounds of Captain Miller (played by Laurence Fishburne) and Starck (played by Joely Richardson). In a Q&A on the film, W.S. Anderson reveals that test screenings of the original cut Spectators are said to have fainted.

Tenet: New trailer for the film by Christopher Nolan

After a few months of radio silence, there is now another sign of life from the film Tenet. It is the latest work by director Christopher Nolan, who has made a name for himself through films such as Inception, the Dark Knight Trilogy and the war drama Dunkirk. At Tenet, the focus is on the manipulation of time and the associated effects. So there will certainly be a lot to think about again. By the way, John David Washington – the son of the famous actor Denzel Washington – can be seen in the leading role. Also included is the actor Michael Caine, who was also seen as Alfred in the Batman films. By the way, as the new trailer makes clear, Tenet should definitely be released in cinemas and not like many other films sold to a streaming provider. Due to the current corona pandemic, however, there is no specific date.
