The release of Cyberpunk 2077 is getting closer: The new role-playing game from CD Projekt Red will be released on September 17th. The new plant of the Witcher makers has already received the first age ratings. The American ESRB (counterpart to the German USK) has classified the role-playing game as "M for mature" – Cyberpunk 2077 is aimed at adult players. The classification caused confusion: among other things, the ESRB states "in-game purchases" for the RPG. CD Projekt Red repeatedly emphasized that it did not want to offer any microtransactions in Cyberpunk 2077. The developers keep the controversial Microtransactions for a bad idea.
Compared to the English language Website Twinfinite.net clarify the developers. A spokesman for the developer studio said that the label for "in-game purchases" from the ESRB is now also required if the respective game is expected to be supplemented with DLCs in the future. The labeling does not necessarily refer to microtransactions.
The developers had already confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 would receive additional extensions after the release. At least are planned as many DLCs as for The Witcher 3. By the way, the developers have announced a "Night City Wire" event for Cyberpunk 2077 on June 11th. It is considered likely that the developers will present news and show fresh gameplay impressions as part of the show. Cyberpunk 2077 is released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
