Cyberpunk 2077: Boss explains, crunch isn't that bad after all – current games

In order to be able to complete Cyberpunk 2077, a so-called Crunch time arranged in which the developers have to push overtime. That has led to some criticism. Now the boss Adam Kiciński commented on it.

"Of course it's a story that got the media coverage and some people crunched a lot, but a lot of the team haven't crunched at all since they finished working on the game," says Kiciński. "It's mainly about QA and software engineers, programmers – but it's not that intense. Of course they have to work a little longer, but we have feedback from the team, they are happy about the additional three weeks, but we do not notice any threats because of the crunch. "

According to CD Projekt Red, the crunch phase is not as bad as it is shown. But it is necessary to meet the new release date on December 10th. The development team is still optimizing the individual versions of Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now € 58.19 ). The version for the current generation of consoles in particular should require a little more work. On the other hand, according to Adam Kiciński, the game is already "finished" on the PC. According to him, the new release date is also fixed. There should now be no further postponement. He also explains that he is uncomfortable with what the shift concerns, but he is now sure to be able to meet the deadline.

So now you have to wait and hope that December 10th is really the day on which the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 appears.
