Actually, your hero was created in the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 planned so that you could have determined your origin and background story yourself at the beginning using a detailed and complex multiple-choice questionnaire. This has now been changed.
Choose one of three paths
In the new version, you choose between three Origin stories. You can choose between "Street Kid", "Nomad" and "Corpo". The choice determines how and where you start your adventure and which starting mission you play. In addition, NPCs always refer to your origin during the game.
This "simplification" of character creation also has a reason to explain the CD project Reds Quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz: "The players have the background story of V shaped by a number of decisions, such as the choice of childhood hero, a key event in life and the reason we decided to move to Night City was one of the ideas we considered earlier in the character creation process, but the longer we talked about it, the more we felt that we were wanted to make these decisions more meaningful and effective. So we came up with the idea of life paths. "
With the new version, you do not use a survey to determine what you have experienced before, but rather play this past for yourself.
"We felt that it would be really cool for the players if they could not only choose the origin of V, but also experience the events of V as a participant first-hand. So when the players start the game for the first time, they will presents the choice between the three ways of life – Street Kid, Nomad and Corpo. Each of these ways of life begins in a completely different place and offers a number of alternative prologue quests, "says Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.
CD Projekt Red believes the new way of character in the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now for € 59.99) creating more roleplaying elements and helping to better represent Hero's V perspective on the world. Cyberpunk 2077 will hit stores on November 19 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
