Cyberpunk 2077 won't be out on November 19th: CD Projekt Red announced one this week another shift in the action role-playing game – despite gold status and multiple statements not to postpone Cyberpunk 2077 again. The new date is set for December 10th. Many employees would not have known about the postponement, as Game Informer found out. "When the news broke, I got in touch with several developers from CD Projekt Red. They confirmed they were unaware of the delay," writes Game Informer editor Liana Ruppert.
The employees were informed about the delayed release of Cyberpunk 2077 via an internal email – shortly before the news was made public on Twitter. The decision to postpone the action role-playing game was a quick one after looking at the qualitative differences between the versions for current systems and next-gen, according to three developers. "CD Projekt Red has declared that the launch should be perfect, defects are dealt with quickly," the editor continues. (buy now € 58.19 )

According to the developers, a postponement of the release of Cyberpunk 2077 until October 26th was not even an option; the decision followed on October 27th. According to Polish labor law, due to the more than 1,000 employees, the management was not legally allowed to inform the entire workforce – without each individual having signed a confidentiality agreement beforehand. A CDPR employee is said to have confirmed to Game Informer that "around 90 percent of the employees" were unaware of the postponement. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X and Google Stadia.
