As CD project Reds John Mamais explains in an interview, singleplayer and multiplayer remain two separate things in Cyberpunk 2077. In addition, we will probably only find out about the multiplayer part of role-playing in about a year.

That Cyberpunk 2077 getting a multiplayer mode has been known for some time. But how will this work? According to CD Projekt Red, it is a large AAA project in the studio. As the head of Krakow's studio, John Mamais, explained in an interview, multiplayer and single player are two separate things.

Multiplayer is an independent thing

When asked if there is still a separate release of the multiplayer part of Cyberpunk 2077 (buy now for € 59.99) Mamais said: "We don't mix the two things. We focus entirely on the single player." He doesn't want to reveal what this multiplayer part looks like. According to him, we will only learn more about it in about a year.

We expect an independent multiplayer game for Cyberpunk 2077. After all, it should be an AAA project and single player and multiplayer are not mixed together. Maybe we're playing some kind of cyberpunk MMORPG or something reminiscent of the Pen & Paper game sessions. Many online adventures for a small group of heroes. We have to be patient for a while before we learn more about the multiplayer part of Cyberpunk 2077.
