Cyberpunk 2077: release of the action RPG postponed again – game updates
Also, if CD Projekt Red last changed the date from Cyberpunk 2077 Assured that the release will be held on September 17th, the studio must now announce again that the launch has been postponed.
Cyberpunk 2077 comes later
The developers apologize on Twitter and explain why the Cyberpunk 2077 release date (buy now for € 59.99) had to be postponed: "We decided to postpone the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 from September 17th to November 19th."
The developers are aware that this decision will cost the trust of some fans and exchanging this trust for more development time is one of the toughest decisions that a developer has to make.
"Although we believe it is the right decision for the game, we want to apologize to you for the long wait. We plan to make Cyberpunk 2077 something to be with you for years to come. We hope you understand why we did this. "
CD Projekt Red further explains that Cyberpunk 2077 is finished in terms of content and gameplay. The quests, cut scenes, skills, items and all adventures in Night City are in the game. But due to the amount of content and complexity, and how everything is connected, developers need more time to check everything, balance game mechanics, and fix other bugs.
Journalists around the world will get a chance to play Cyberpunk 2077 this week and the action RPG will be featured as part of the Night City Wire event on June 25th. CD Projekt Red hopes that this will comfort you somewhat by having to wait until the new release on November 19th.
