The action adventure Metroid Dread has been available for the Nintendo Switch since the beginning of this month. If you have not yet been able to get through to the purchase and would like to have a look beforehand, you will now be offered the opportunity to do so. The Nintendo eShop now says a free demo ready for download. At this point, we of course also recommend our extensive one Test of Metroid Dread.

What does the Metroid Dread demo offer?

The demo is around 1.4 gigabytes in size and offers part of the full version. You can play the beginning of the adventure, but of course only up to a point. About 30 minutes of gameplay are available in the demo. You don’t get to the first real boss yet.

What is Metroid Dread about?

Das Action-Adventure Metroid Dread (buy now € 46.90) was released on October 8, 2021 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. It continues the story of the 19-year-old Metroid Fusion that was released for the Game Boy Advance at the time. The focus is once again on the space heroine Samus Aran,

On behalf of the Galactic Federation, it ends up on the planet ZDR, where the parasitic life form X is said to be up to mischief. Aside from the story, you can expect the usual good Metroid food in 2.5D guise, which convinces with great design, successful controls and many other highlights. According to the producer responsible, this should not have been the last adventure with Samus Aran. How exactly it will go on with the heroine is not yet known.
