The makers of the lootshooter Destiny 2 played Hotfix 2.7.1.1 on the server on February 11th, just in time for the start of the scarlet week – and thus apparently released a bug on the guardianship that made them lose all currencies and materials. A rollback has reset all characters to the status of 5:30 p.m. before the hotfix.

That just went well again: As part of the release of Hotfix 2.7.1.1 on the evening of February 11, 2020 for Destiny 2 (buy now for 14.49 €) Bungie developers went through a mistake that, after completing the maintenance, caused Guardians to lose currencies and materials like Fractaline. The makers of the loot shooter noticed this quickly enough, however, and then took the servers offline in order to find the source of the error on the one hand and to solve the problem at the same time.

The solution was to roll back all characters to before 5:30 p.m. when the servers for maintenance and release of 2.7.1.1 were shut down. This in turn took a few hours. Only around 2:00 p.m. did the Bungie people report that the servers were available again – for the European players, however, this was again an evening with other activities.

After all, the rollback did the following:

  • You must now repeat any purchases or progress that you made between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. server time
  • The silver that was spent during this time was returned to your accounts
  • Silver packets that you bought in the platform shops are not affected by the rollback
  • Fractaline will be put back in your inventory

The servers should run again without problems, so that you can indulge in the activities around the scarlet week. However, the gamers are out of tune, as all sorts of keepers have been able to collect some cool items, either exotic or weapons with Godrolls, before the rollback. They also wish that the scarlet week was given an extra day due to the delays.
