Jack Attridge, creative director at developer studio Flavorour, explained why games look best on Playstation 4. And in his opinion that has nothing to do with the performance of a console.

Watch games on the Playstation 4 best out? That may be in the eye of the beholder, but Jack Attridge, creative director at the Flavorwork development studio, is convinced of this and also explains why.

Console performance is not critical

According to Jack Attridge, games are seen on Playstation 4 (buy now for € 319.00) best because art is in the foreground. It refers to PS4-exclusive titles such as God of War. According to him, Sony is investing a lot of money to make the games look as unique and good as possible. This also includes the publication of experimental titles that perhaps no other company would invest in. But that was already the case at Playstation 3. The best example for him is Little Big Planet. A game that probably no other publisher would have supported financially.

Jack Attridge believes that console performance doesn't matter how good a game looks. It is the artistic style. Therefore, the SSD of the Playstation 5 is the most interesting aspect of the next generation and not the graphics power.
