Developers give you a reason to dig the game up again

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already a few years old, but developer CD Projekt Red will soon give you a reason to bring the game out again. The legendary action RPG is on its way to the next-gen consoles – in improved form.

According to an official statement from CD Projekt Red, the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S is in development.

Although the game was already technically available on the next-gen consoles thanks to backward compatibility, the new version should be take full advantage of advanced hardware. The studio promises both visual and technical improvements and on the game’s website Ray tracing and faster loading times are explicitly mentioned. It is not yet known whether the new version will support 4K, but it is quite likely.

There is no exact date yet, but CDPR plans to release the new versions in the second half of 2021 to publish.

Die Next-Gen-Edition contains both the base game and the DLCs and can be bought as a standalone game. If you already own the game, you will receive a free update – this also applies to PC players.
