CD Projekt Red is preparing the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 1.2 – the new patch is announced for February. The main focus is on the versions for PS4 and Xbox One, which were released with serious technical defects. Optimizations and bug fixes are promised. CDPR also has to work on the PC version of the action role-playing game: The creators announce on Twitter that they have been made aware of a vulnerability in external DLL files that the Action-RPG uses – and through which code is executed on PCs leaves.
"If you plan to run mods or custom saved games on PC, be careful," add the developers. The weak points of the DLL files mentioned could, for example, run malware on the PCs. "The problem will be fixed as soon as possible," CD Projekt Red commented in the Twitter post. Players should refrain from uploading files from unknown sources until the error has been corrected.
