Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from Insomniac Games will be available in stores starting Friday. Several employees of the studio have now commented on their time with the project via Twitter. It was confirmed several times that the development of the PS5 title went completely without any crunch. Game designer Grant Parker, for example, stated that he never worked more than 40 hours a week.
Two other Insomniac Games employees also spoke about their work on the game. Here too, overtime should almost never have occurred. The developers claim to have taken longer shifts here and there – but they rarely felt like work because the team had so much fun developing Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
