A new one was launched a few weeks ago Mod for Cyberpunk 2077 released, which provides the game with unofficial support for DLSS 2.2. A video has now appeared on YouTube that presents the improvements with the next version of Nvidia technology in detail. So far, Cyberpunk 2077 is only compatible with DLSS 2.1. The mod uses the database found in Rainbow Six Siege with DLSS 2.2. An update from CD Projekt Red should therefore bring even better performance for the game.
In the video you can see Cyberpunk 2077 with patch 1.23 on the PC. The YouTube channel of eXploring Digital Worlds used a computer with an i7 6700k @ 4.6GHz CPU, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 OC and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. Thanks to DLSS technology, games can be played at higher frame rates – even on weaker systems – thanks to AI upscaling. When DLSS 2.2 will officially be added to Cyberpunk 2077 is currently unclear.
At the moment, the CD Projekt Red team is also busy with the next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, which will bring some visual improvements. This version should appear in the course of the year. The upgrade will be free for previous owners of the game. The Witcher 3, published in 2015, will also soon receive a next-gen version. For a long time, the developers worked on updates for Cyberpunk 2077 to get the title back on the PS4 and Xbox One. The game has now landed on the PlayStation Store again. Nevertheless, at least a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X is recommended.
