Dune: Cinematographer calls Remake a "stand-alone epic film" – topical in games
Cinematographer Greig Fraser described the remake of Dune as an "independent epic film". He also praised director Denis Villeneuve in top tones. According to him, Dune is an "independent epic film" – even if the story of the epic is divided into two films. He also described the shooting as a "wonderful experience" and director Denis Villeneuve was a "master" of his work. Greig Fraser was most recently involved in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. With Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, Denis Villeneuve has brought two critically acclaimed films to the screen in recent years.
Just a few weeks ago, David Lynch (director of the original at the time) also commented on the remake. Accordingly, the filmmaker has no interest in watching the remake of Denis Villeneuve. Hans Zimmer is responsible for the music. According to current plans, the film will be released in German cinemas on December 17, 2020.
