BioWare is currently working flat out on the development of Dragon Age 4. Together with EA, however, they have decided to cut some planned content – which fans are really happy about.
Dragon Age 4 is going to be very different than planned
According to video game journalist Jason Schreier Dragon Age 4 has been in development since 2015. The focus of the game should always be on one Live service and multiplayer lie, but this concept has now been canceled without further ado.
The decision was made based on the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and the demise of Anthem. The latter in particular has shown that developer BioWare should better get back to its roots and focus on single player games.

The decision should have come earlier
On Reddit it becomes clear that the players are happy about this decision. Most agree, however, that the decision should have been made much earlier. Reddit users HPLovecrafts_Cat noted that it took three games and a ruined reputation for BioWarefor EA to come to this conclusion. As they say? What is worth waiting for.
- By the way. If you haven't played it yet, you can sweeten the waiting time with Dragon Age: Inquisition. The Game of the Year Edition includes the main game, the official Hakkon catches, The Descent and Invader expansions, and more.
