Elden Ring has a release date! Exactly two years ago, fans of FromSoftware’s action role-playing games got a glimpse of the next dark fantasy epic by Hidetaka Miyazaki, whose creative account included the extremely popular one Souls series goes. Game of Thrones author George RR Martin was also involved in creating the backstory for the title, which is the first time an open world can be explored in the expanded Souls universe. But apart from these key data and a few unconfirmed leaks, there was no further information about the project.

Until now! As part of the Summer Game Festival, Bandai Namco finally presented a new trailer for Elden Ring:

Elden Ring: Trailer with gameplay and release date

In addition to impressive landscapes, some battle scenes with different weapons, magic and mounted combat were on display. Not only do you get a horse for the first time in Souls history, it can even fly! In addition, the first story snippets of the eponymous Elden Ring could be heard, which is apparently supposed to be controlled by your character. The typically dark and dramatic soundtrack and the morbid opponent design are also celebrating their comeback.

Elden Ring will be available on January 21, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
